Date & Time

Description
Rigid heddle weaving is a user-friendly, wonderful way to dip your toe into the world of weaving, but it also provides a lifetime of creative opportunities. Rigid heddle looms are compact and inexpensive, and they open the door to a whole new art. Perhaps the best part is that you can go from zero to a completed piece in just a few hours! Students will learn to warp (thread) and weave on a rigid heddle loom, understand the mechanics of the operation of the loom, and employ different techniques to achieve different designs and patterns in the weaving. Students will finish a sampler piece in class, suitable to use as a small table runner.
The instructor will provide looms for use in class.
