Step into the mesmerizing realm of Maori-inspired Tāniko weaving motifs as we bring them to life through knitting. In this 3 Hours workshop, you'll journey through colorwork techniques that transform simple cowls into artful masterpieces echoing the tales and tradition of the Māori. With the choice to weave your narrative from five different stitch motifs, each rooted in Tāniko's tradition, you'll unlock endless creativity, bridging the ancient art of weaving with the contemporary charm of knitting. Supplies Students Must Bring

DK weight yarn, 50g Main Color, 40g Contrast Color. Contrast color can be one color or many colors. A wool yarn is best for this type of project. I highly encourage you to get creative with the colorway combinations! In my sample I used six different colorways for the contrast color using mini hanks which may not be accessible - so use a variegated or gradient yarn to have some fun.

US 8 / 5 mm needles (for practice during the workshop), and notions including darning/tapestry needle and stitch marker.

The pattern will be provided by the instructor, and is included in the class fee.
