Create this striking pendant while learning several techniques. You will learn to texture, form, and manipulate silver clay as you create a unique and secure setting to hold the dichroic glass cabochon. Along the way, you'll also learn many other tips and tricks for working with metal clay. The pendant will be left for firing while you go explore, shop, take another workshop or enjoy a nap. Your piece will be ready the day after the workshop.

Prerequisites
Students prior experience in working with metal clay is recommended, but not required.

Required Kit Contents:
Kit includes fine silver metal clay, glass cabochon, written tutorial, and use of shared tools and consumables in class.
Supplies Students Must Bring

Basic metal clay tool kit which includes: Roller, nonstick work surface, needle tool or awl, playing cards or depth measuring slats, glazed ceramic tile, craft knife, water mister, release agent (Cool Slip, olive oil), and sanding papers. Note: If you cannot bring the tools above, the instructor can lend you a tool kit to use during class. Optional: Task lamp and magnifying glasses or reading glasses if necessary.
