In this fun, experimental workshop, you will learn the unique characteristics of working with copper, what is required for firing, and how to finish it. In addition, you will learn how to add a pop of color to your pieces. You will be able to complete several pieces of jewelry as you play and learn. You will leave your pieces to be fired and pick them up the next day.
Apron, basic metal clay tool kit which includes: Roller, nonstick work surface, needle tool or awl, playing cards or depth measuring slats, glazed ceramic tile, craft knife, water mister, release agent (Cool Slip, olive oil), sanding papers. If you cannot bring the tools above, the instructor can lend you a tool kit to use during class. Optional: Task lamp and magnifying glasses or reading glasses if necessary.
