Description

Create this stunning statement pendant while learning several techniques. You will learn to texture, form, and manipulate your silver clay around an eye-catching dichroic glass cabochon. Plus, create a bail and embellishments, and learn how to set the stones. Along the way, you'll also learn many other tips and tricks for working with metal clay. The pendant will be left for firing while you go explore, shop, take another workshop, or enjoy a nap. Your fired piece will be ready for polishing on the same evening as the workshop or the following day.

Prerequisites
Students prior experience in working with metal clay is recommended, but not required.

Required Kit Contents:
Kit includes fine silver metal clay, glass cabochon, fire-in-place CZ's, written tutorial, and use of shared tools and consumables during class.
Supplies Students Must Bring

Apron, basic metal clay tool kit which includes: Roller, nonstick work surface, needle tool or awl, playing cards or depth measuring slats, glazed ceramic tile, craft knife, water mister, release agent (Cool Slip, olive oil), sanding papers. If you cannot bring the tools above, the instructor can lend you a tool kit to use during class. Optional: Task lamp and magnifying glasses or reading glasses if necessary.
