Learn to design and fabricate jewelry that is volumetric and eye-catching, yet lightweight, and comfortable to wear. Techniques covered include design layout and template making, metal cutting and texturing, forming three-dimensional shapes that “pop out” into space, patina, finishing and polishing, sealing your metal, and a tricky way to create matching and perfectly-formed long French earring wires.

Required Kit Contents:
Kit includes copper sheet for earring body (silver is available at an additional fee), silver wire, earring templates, polishing wheels, polishing stick, metal sealer, and patina.
Supplies Students Must Bring
There will be a shared torch station, but students are welcome to bring their own basic metalsmithing kit: butane soldering torch, solderite board (or similar), flux, tweezers, drill bits, files, safety equipment.
