Double Knitting in Color

Description

Double knitting is a unique method of making a fabric with no 'wrong' side. Significantly different from the standard intarsia and Fair Isle colorwork and brioche, double knitting makes a pattern on both sides of the fabric with the colors inverted. You'll learn a 2-color cast-on for double-knitting, get comfortable with the techniques involved, then move into colorwork and end with decreases in pattern. We’ll practice on scrap yarn and then put our new skills to work by starting a hat. The hat pattern will be provided by the instructor.
