Prerequisites
Students must be able to count rows and stitches in Stockinette stitch fabric.
Supplies Students Must Bring

Single-ply worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors (Yarn doesn’t have to be single-ply, but it is a lot easier to learn on single-ply yarn). Yarn suggested is Malabrigo Worsted Merino. About 40 yards of MC and 20 yards of CC will be plenty. Neither yarn should be dark (no black), but the two colors should be highly contrasting. Think pink/yellow, medium blue/cream, orange/green combinations. 16-inch circular needle or straight needles that match with your yarn. You want a slightly tighter-than-usual fabric, so choose a needle one size smaller than you would normally use for your chosen yarn. Scissors, pencil, paper for notes, blunt tip sewing/tapestry needle, and locking stitch markers. Something to help you keep track of your chart – either highlighter tape or post it notes are recommended.
