In this class, you’ll learn how to transform standard patterns into custom garments fitted to your body and your tastes. Topics Covered: Understanding Raglan Construction: Before diving into customization, it’s essential to understand the basics of raglan construction. The instructor will guide you through the anatomy of a raglan sweater, explaining how increases and decreases shape the garment seamlessly from the top down. Removing Excess Sleeve Fabric: Say goodbye to bulky, ill-fitting sleeves! You’ll discover techniques for adjusting the sleeve to eliminate excess fabric while maintaining a flattering silhouette. Creating Waist Shaping: Waist shaping adds definition and elegance to any sweater. Our instructor will teach you various methods for incorporating waist shaping into your raglan designs. Adjusting for Bust and Belly Room: For those with fuller busts or bellies, standard sweater patterns may not provide the desired fit. You’ll learn how to accommodate extra room where needed without compromising the overall fit of the sweater.

Supplies Students Must Bring

Two skeins of worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors, Knitting needles size 5mm/US 8, Locking Stitch Markers, Ring Stitch Markers, Pencil and note pad, Scissors.
