Description
Using basic spinning skills, students will explore some of the effects possible from one hand-painted roving. With different pre-draft preparation and different drafts, students will create multi-colored single- and two-ply yarns, plus a number of different yarns including various two-ply combinations, Navajo-plied self-striping yarn and fractal spinning techniques can create completely different yarns from the same roving. Each student receives a hand painted roving to take home to complete a project.
