In this class, students will make a botanical themed pendant of their own design out of fine silver metal clay. Tiny leaves, berries and vines will be made by hand, or with the help of commercial molds. It is easier than it looks! The pendant can be adorned with either pearls or colorful fireable gems.


Roller, such as a piece of PVC pipe. Piece of Saran Wrap. Small amount of water and olive oil. CD case or small piece of flat glass or acrylic. Clean paintbrush. Piece of PLASTIC drinking straw. Drying surface, such as small mug warmer, food dehydrator, etc. 3” by 3” square of a heat-proof material, such as a reusable baking sheet. Cookie cutters, or shape template with a cutting tool, such as a scalpel or needle tool. The shape should be no larger than 2 inches in diameter.12 playing cards. Brass wire brush if available. Metal clay paste and/or syringe if available. Floral nail art molds if available. Butane kitchen torch, butane fuel and silica block or other firing surface.
