What is Maker Festival's Customer Cancellation Policy?
Due to limited seating availability and instructor commitments, if you need to cancel your registration please do so as early as possible. You may cancel via your confirmation email or by emailing us HERE. If you cancel your registration, it will be subject to the following cancellation and refund policy:
- Cancellations made on or before May 1, 2025 will receive a full refund*
- Cancellations made by June 1, 2025 can choose to receive either a 50% refund of the order total or a Rollover Credit
- Cancellations made by June 31, 2025 are not eligible for a refund, but are eligible for a Rollover Credit
- Cancellations made on or after July 1, 2025 will not be eligible for a refund or rollover credit
*A 20% processing fee will be deducted from certain kinds of Maker Festivals registration refunds. Registrant substitutions will not be granted.
Rollover Credit
Rollover credits expire two (2) years after the date issued and may be used for any Maker Festivals event.
If you are eligible for a Rollover Credit, a unique code will be sent to the email address used to register for the event. Please allow 10 business days for this code to be sent. If after 10 days you do not receive your code, please check your spam folder. If you still do not see the email, reach out to our team directly HERE.

What if we, Maker Festivals cancel a workshop, class or event?
Golden Peak Media reserves the right to cancel any Maker Festivals workshop or event at its sole discretion
If a workshop or event is canceled due to instructor illness, low enrollment numbers, or for any other reason, you will have the opportunity to move your registration to another workshop. If you are unable to find another workshop to move your registration to, you will be eligible for a 100% refund for that workshop. You will be notified via email of any cancellations.
Please note that if you have registered for multiple workshops, any change you make to other workshops you are registered for, still being held will adhere to the standard cancellation policy.

If you need to cancel your registration before the May 1, 2024 deadline, you can easily do so from your confirmation email. Click the “modify or cancel your registration” link, then click the “Cancel Registration” button on the following page. You’ll need to provide your order confirmation number and the reason for your cancellation. Once you click “Submit” at the bottom, your cancellation is complete and a refund will be processed.

You sure can! We actually have a step in the registration process where we ask if you want to register more people, so just click here to get started on your own registration and when you get to the Additional People step just follow the instructions.
If you have already registered yourself, you can simply select the Modify registration button in your confirmation email and select the Additional People tab at the top.

Workshop students: When you first arrive at the Convention Center, stop by the Registration Desk and show us your QR code, located in your confirmation email. We will provide you with a name badge, name badge holder, and your FREE tote bag.
For general admission to marketplace: When you arrive at the Convention Center, stop by the Registration Desk and show us your QR code, located in your confirmation email, to receive your wristband.

To receive a Maker Festivals Tote Bag full of goodies, you must purchase at least one workshop. When you first arrive, stop by the Registration Desk and show us your QR code, located in your confirmation email to receive your free tote bag. Limit one per student.

Can I bring my child into the marketplace of classroom?
Children ages 12 and younger are admitted into the marketplace for free when accompanied by an adult with a general admission ticket. Children ages 16 and older are permitted in the classroom, provided they have their own ticket and are accompanied by an adult with their own ticket.

Workshop registration opens each day starting Wednesday at 8 a.m. Workshop assignments will be posted on signs at the hotel.
Online: Click REGISTER NOW to visit our registration portal and select your favorite workshops before they are sold out. View the workshops by date, instructor, skill level or technique. When registering online, it includes a secure payment process and your registration confirmation will be sent to you via email. You will also receive Maker Fest updates on workshops, instructors, special events, hotel and travel information, and more. (Note: Registration confirmation and event updates are sent to the email address used to register.) Please visit onsite registration for your free tote bag and a Maker Fest program when you arrive.
At Maker Fest: Purchase tickets at the Maker Fest Registration Desk beginning at 8 a.m. on the first day of the event. Onsite registration is based on workshop availability.

If a workshop is sold out, can I be put on a waitlist?
Yes. Workshop waitlists are available for any workshop sold out. Simply select the “Add to Waitlist” option next to the Workshop details and add your information. If a spot opens, you’ll be notified. Availability is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

How do I add a workshop to my already existing order?
To add a workshop after you have already placed an order, select “View or modify your registration” from your confirmation email. Once the page loads, select “Modify Registration” and select whichever additional workshops you’d like to add to your order, then proceed to checkout. After checkout, all of your workshops should be accounted for on your account.

You will receive your order confirmation email immediately after placing your order. If it does not appear in your inbox, please check your spam folder. When you first arrive to the venue, be sure to stop by the Registration Desk and show us your QR code. We will provide you with a name badge, name badge holder, your FREE tote bag, and a 3-Day marketplace wristband.
You can also find your workshop supply list in the Register Now section of each workshop description. To ensure a smooth workshop experience, review the supply list and bring all items with you.

Most workshops have a supply list. Please review the list to ensure that you come prepared for your workshops. You can view the supply list for each workshop by clicking HERE and locating the “Supplies Students Must Bring” in the workshop details. (Note: some workshops also have a kit fee, payable directly to the instructor, which covers materials provided by the instructors in addition to those you’ll be bringing.)

Kit fees are in addition to the workshop registration fees. Some instructors provide workshop kits for each student, with fees that vary from workshop to workshop, and some workshops do not have kit fees. You will pay your workshop kit fees onsite directly to the instructor when you take the workshop.

Some workshops may have homework that you will need to complete in preparation for the workshop. Click HERE to see if homework is necessary for your workshop(s). If homework is necessary, the instructor will reach out to you prior to workshop start to provide instructions and answer any questions you might have.
