We hate goodbye's as much as you do, but unfortunately they are unavoidable at times.
There are times where workshops need to be cancelled by Maker Festivals or the Instructor, as well as students needing to cancel their workshop or festival pass registrations. While the reasons may always be different, I think we can all agree having to do so is always super disappointing.
We want to make the process as smooth and as painless as possible, and the first step is making sure you know exactly what our cancellation policy is, so there are no surprises.
When You Cancel A Workshop
Due to limited seating availability and instructor commitments, if you need to cancel your registration please do so as early as possible. You may cancel via your confirmation email or by emailing us HERE. If you cancel your registration, it will be subject to the following cancellation and refund policy:
- Cancellations made on or before May 1, 2025 will receive a full refund*
- Cancellations made by June 1, 2025 can choose to receive either a 50% refund of the order total or a Rollover Credit
- Cancellations made by June 31, 2025 are not eligible for a refund, but are eligible for a Rollover Credit
- Cancellations made on or after July 1, 2025 will not be eligible for a refund or rollover credit
*A 20% processing fee will be deducted from certain kinds of Maker Festivals registration refunds. Registrant substitutions will not be granted.
Rollover Credit
Rollover credits expire two (2) years after the date issued and may be used for any Maker Festivals event.
If you are eligible for a Rollover Credit, a unique code will be sent to the email address used to register for the event. Please allow 10 business days for this code to be sent. If after 10 days you do not receive your code, please check your spam folder. If you still do not see the email, reach out to our team directly HERE.
Cancelling Marketplace Passes
Refund requests are accepted up to 30 days before the event. These are transferable so if you can't come feel free to share with a friend.
When We Cancel Workshops
In the event we need to cancel a workshop for low enrollment or the Instructor needs to cancel for personal reasons here is what happens:
- We will notify you of the cancellation via email
- You will select one of the following options:
- Move to a different workshop
- Receive roll over credits, good for two years
- Receive a full refund for the cancelled workshops only
- Please note VIP packages are only eligible to move into a different workshop
Please note, that while we understand it is frustrating to have workshops cancelled, the cancellation of some workshops you are registered for does NOT allow for cancellation of other workshops still running that you are registered for. Any changes to your registration regarding workshops still running will be subject to the above cancellation & refund policy.
